Blocker

Trusted by 200K+ buyers

No dye migration. No ruined garments.

The best heat transfer for sublimated or patterned polyester fabrics where there is potential for the transfer to change colour. This stops dye migration in its tracks, giving you vibrant, unmuddied colours every time.

Blocker

No dye migration. No ruined garments.

The Blocker is the best heat transfer for:

  • Fabrics that bleed: Any garments you think might have unstable dye and bleed colour.
  • Patterned polyester fabrics: Shirts, sportswear and more where there is a pattern already on the fabric.
  • Sublimated polyester fabrics that bleed: Coloured fabrics that were dyed using heat-to-transfer dye onto the polyester.

What makes it different

  • It creates an impenetrable layer beneath the print, creating a true no-bleed result.
  • The screen printed white backing makes the colours more vibrant on light and dark colours
  • Rebounds without cracking when stretched
  • Our 7-colour printing presses match colours with insane accuracy, so you get consistent colours, every single order – and you can PMS colour match
  • You can also print metallic colours at no extra cost. Check out this page for details.
  • It's a hot peel heat transfer so you can work Supafast and Supaeasy
  • Made with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 water-based ink so it's better for the planet

How durable are Blocker heat transfers?

They’re independently proven to last 80+ washes before they show any signs of fading or cracking. For most people, that’s a few years - usually longer than the garments they’re printed on!

Can I use Blocker heat transfers on bags?

It depends. They can work on some bags, but it’s best to use our Promotional heat transfers, as these have been designed to adhere to ALL kinds of bags and other promotional gear.

Can I use Blocker heat transfers on headwear?

Yes, but only if you’re printing where the design won’t go over seams (e.g. on a five panel cap). If you want to print over seams, use our Headwear transfers. These are designed specifically for that, and will print beautifully over seams and even mesh without cracking.

What fabrics can I NOT use the Blocker heat transfer on?

Blocker heat transfers are not designed for fabrics with waterproof coatings or specialty fabrics that require a low temperature heat press. In those situations, use our Lo Melt heat transfers.

How do I know if I need a Blocker or not?

If you’re not sure if your fabric will bleed or not, it’s a good idea to use a Blocker just to be safe. It looks and feels the same as the Wearable heat transfer and can be used on all the same gear (and more). The only difference is it has an invisible layer that stops any dye from the fabric bleeding through your design, which can help you avoid costly mistakes. So when in doubt, rock the Blocker.

What fabrics can I use the Blocker heat transfer on?

Blocker heat transfers can be used on nearly everything: cotton, polycotton blends, fleece and all polyesters. This makes it perfect for tees, hoodies, stretchy athleisure wear, cotton tote bags and denim. It is often used on sublimated (patterned) polyester and tri-blend fabrics, which may bleed if you don’t use a blocker.

Are there any hidden fees?

No, we don’t charge any extra fees except shipping, which is calculated before checkout.

Bye bye dye problems.

Bye bye dye problems.

Polyester and sublimated fabrics are dyed using heat, and when we apply heat transfers we use enough heat reactivate the dyes used. This then over time ‘bleeds’ into the transfer causing discolouration.

The top logo has Supacolour's blocking layer, the bottom logo does not and you can see the dark spots of the dye coming through.
