Flame Retardant Transfers

Branding that won't compromise FR protection.

Flame Retardant is the best heat transfer for:

  • FR coveralls and boilersuits.

Brand the workwear that keeps people safe.

  • FR workwear fleets.

Built for oil & gas, petrochemical, electrical and arc-flash, welding, foundries, rail and mining.

  • Industrially laundered FR garments.

Same industrial-wash toughness as our Industrial Wash transfers — it survives the hot commercial laundering FR workwear goes through.

Independently flame-tested.

Applied to flame-retardant overalls and tested by BTTG, a UKAS-accredited laboratory, Supacolour Flame Retardant transfers passed EN ISO 11612 limited flame spread (A1) — no flame spread to the edge, no hole, no flaming or molten debris, no afterglow. The garments were industrially washed at 75°C before testing, so the result reflects real workwear laundering.

When should I choose Flame Retardant transfers?

When you're branding flame-retardant workwear — FR coveralls, boilersuits and protective wear for oil & gas, petrochemical, electrical and arc-flash, welding, foundries, rail and mining.

Will it keep my FR garment compliant?

It's built and tested for it. Independently tested by BTTG (a UKAS-accredited lab) to EN ISO 11612 limited flame spread (A1) after industrial washing, so the print doesn't reduce the garment's flame-spread protection. EN ISO 11612 applies to a specific garment-and-print combination, so we'll confirm the right size and placement for your garment, and can arrange testing for your specific combination where needed.

Does the transfer make my garment flame retardant?

No — flame protection comes from the garment, not the print. Our Flame Retardant transfer lets you brand an already-FR garment without taking that protection away.

What are the pressing instructions for Flame Retardant?

Press at 165°C–175°C for 10 seconds at 40 psi (firm pressure). FR garments are sensitive to over-pressing, so follow the supplied instructions exactly.

Is there a minimum order required?

Yes, we require a minimum of 10 pieces per order for Flame Retardant transfers.

How durable is it in the wash?

It has the same industrial-wash durability as our Industrial Wash transfers — built to survive the hot commercial laundering FR workwear goes through. The EN ISO 11612 flame test was carried out after industrial washing at 75°C.

Can Flame Retardant transfers be a multi-coloured logo?

Yes, just like our other full colour transfers, you can print gradients, fades and over a million colours. Please note: all semi-transparent effects, such as glows, fades and shadows, must be encased by something solid, with hard edges.

Branding that keeps FR workwear compliant.

Branding that keeps FR workwear compliant.

Flame protection comes from the garment — and a normal transfer can strip it. Ours doesn't. Independently tested by BTTG (UKAS) to EN ISO 11612 limited flame spread (A1) after industrial washing, so you can brand FR workwear without weakening its protection.
