The Lo Melt Blocker is the best heat transfer for:
- Patterned polyester fabrics – Shirts, sportswear and more where there is a pattern already on the fabric.
- Sublimated polyester fabrics prone to dye migration – Coloured fabrics that were dyed using heat-to-transfer dye onto the polyester.
- Technical and stretchy fabrics – Performance wear, including tri-blends, spandex, Dri-fit etc.

When should I choose the Lo Melt Blocker over the Lo Melt option?
If you think your fabric may show dye migration even at a lower temperature, use our Lo Melt Blocker just to be safe. It looks and feels the same as the Lo Melt heat transfer and can be used on all the same gear (and more). The only difference is it has an invisible layer that stops any dye from the fabric bleeding through your design, which can help you avoid costly mistakes. So when in doubt, rock the Blocker.
Will Lo Melt Blocker stick to waterproof fabrics?
No, but it will stick to water-resistant fabrics. For fabrics that are 100% waterproof, we recommend the Promotional transfer.
Will Lo Melt Blocker transfers work on headwear or promotional items?
They will only work on headwear if there are no seams where you’re pressing the transfer. It will crack on seams, so if it’s a six panel cap, use the Headwear transfer. If you’re printing on promotional gear, Lo Melt Blocker transfers may be used, but for best results we recommend using our Promotional heat transfers.
Are there any hidden fees with Lo Melt Blockers?

What are the pressing instructions for Lo Melt Blockers?
Lo Melt Blockers require a lower temperature, typically 130°C - 150°C. Press for 12-15 seconds at 40PSI/firm. Check out our step by step instructions here.
Is there a minimum order required for Lo Melt Blockers?
Yes, the minimum order for Lo Melt Blocker heat transfers is 10 identical pieces.
What heat presses are compatible with Lo Melt Blocker transfers?
Like all of our transfers, the Lo Melt Blocker is a professional-grade heat transfer that can be used with an air-operated or manual heat press. However, it is NOT designed to be pressed with a domestic iron, or the Cricut Easy Press or other presses without adequate pressure settings.
