What happens if I use a different heat transfer on a Softshell garment?
Because Softshell fabric has a water repellent coating, standard transfers won’t adhere to it properly. If you use an alternative to Softshell heat transfers on softshell fabrics, you risk damaging the garment from overheating it, or having a print that doesn’t adhere properly from underheating it.
Do I need a Softshell Blocker for all softshell apparel?
Yes, other transfers may not adhere to the softshell fabric properly and without the blocker layer, the fabric’s dye will bleed into the design.
Can I print Pantone colours with the Softshell Blocker heat transfer?
Yes! We can PMS match any Pantone colour so your apparel will be perfectly on brand.
What heat presses are compatible with Softshell Blocker heat transfers?
Like all of our transfers, the Softshell Blocker is a professional-grade heat transfer that can be used with an air-operated or manual heat press. However, it is NOT designed to be pressed with a domestic iron, or the Cricut Easy Press or any other presses without adequate pressure settings.

Softshell made easy.
Like polyester, heat is used to set the dyes into soft shell fabric. When we press a transfer on, it reactivates the dyes used. Our Soft Shell Blocker has a specially formulated layer to trap the dye and therefore preventing the transfer from discolouring.
The top logo has this layer, the bottom does not and you can see the fabric colour coming through the transfer.
